Molinaro’s Ristorante and the community of Lockport are committed to beating breast
cancer so we’ve teamed up with The Roswell Park Cancer Institute – Team Cure to make
it happen. The one day event kicks-off at 9:00 am on the last Sunday of July & is
held at Molinaro’s, the corner of Pine St. & Walnut St. in Lockport. It’s an all
day extravaganza! This year marked the fifth anniversary for our fight against
breast cancer, with all proceeds to benefit Roswell’s Team Cure. With the help of
our community we have raised over $37,000 towards our cause. We are committed and
hope this annual event, with your help, will achieve much more success.
As you know, many individuals with their families are touched by the effects of
Breast Cancer. In fact, my mother and many of our volunteers with their families
have fought this disease and know the hardships that come with it, first hand. With
the generous support of people like you, we will be able to help many of these
individuals and families not only to meet essential needs, but establish a
foundation for a more promising future.
RPCI exists to provide outstanding patient care, conduct research and promote
education. This work would not be possible without donations and fundraising
contributions to underwrite the mission of the Institute. The dollars raised today
may help support the lab research or finance the clinical study that will lead to a
promising treatment or cure tomorrow.
For more information on how your donation is helping to make a difference in the
lives of so many in our community, we invite you to visit our benefits web site at
roswellpark.org. You can also find information there on upcoming events for this
year and volunteer opportunities.
Festivities for Molinaro’s Italian Festival include a multiple team bocce tournament
in memory of Joseph Pasceri. In addition, delicious Italian food and a variety of
crafts will be on hand, from our local restaurants and businesses. There will be
spaghetti eating contests, a wine tasting contest, a secret sauce contest,
activities and games for children, a live auction, raffles, and live entertainment
from Jack Civiletto & the CRS Band.
Any people or businesses interested in becoming a sponsor or a volunteer
for our annual Italian Fest please email me @ anthony@molinarosonline.com.
